PMIEF Projects

NECY implements a range of projects with the support of PMIEF, focusing on improving access to quality education, strengthening child and youth rights, and empowering communities across Sri Lanka. These projects aim to address educational gaps, promote social inclusion, and enhance life skills among children and young people, particularly in underserved and vulnerable communities.

PMIEF-supported initiatives emphasize capacity building, community engagement, and sustainable development. Teacher Training Programs

NECY conducts comprehensive Teacher Training Programs to strengthen the capacity of educators in delivering quality, child-centered education. These programs focus on modern teaching methodologies, child and youth rights, social and financial education, and inclusive classroom practices. By equipping teachers with practical tools and knowledge, NECY enhances learning outcomes and ensures that children receive engaging, safe, and rights-based education across schools and learning centers.

NECY organizes Children Camps to provide safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where children can develop life skills beyond the classroom. These camps focus on leadership, teamwork, creativity, financial awareness, environmental responsibility, and social values. Through interactive activities, group work, and experiential learning, children are encouraged to build confidence, express themselves, and become active, responsible members of their communities.
